I have been in Thailand now for nearly six month and will be going back to Australia in December 2010 and would like my thai girlfriend to come back with me. Which visa would be best for my Thai girlfriend, Australia holiday visa ?
We have been living together for 3 months now, i have met her through a friends Thai girlfriend. i haven’t been working as i have been living in Thailand for 6 or so months but do have a full time job when i do go back to Australia.

A 3 month Australian tourist visa would be most suitable for your situation. To obtain this visa, the burden of proof to demonstrate you are in a real relionship is on you. The Australian embassy does not have to prove you are not in a relationship; you have to prove that you are.
In our opinion, you will have to return to Australia without your Thai girlfriend, and while there start to document a true relationship. The problem many Sponsors face while taking an extended holiday in Thailand is proving a real relationship exists.
While in Thailand it could be viewed that you are having a holiday romance that will not continue when you return home. Having a few photos isn’t enough.
