Visitor Visas for Australia are for Thai citizens that intend to visit Australia for tourism – holiday or other recreational activities, including, sightseeing, social or recreational reasons, to visit relatives or friends, or other short-term non-work purposes.
The visitor visa provides for a period of stay up to 12 months. The Thai citizen can only apply for the Australian Visitor Visa at the Australian Embassy in Bangkok
The Visa application may be made in person at the Australian visa application center, by mail or in person.
For a visa application to be successful, the Australian embassy must be certain that the Thai citizen will only be visiting Australia for a set amount of time, after which they will return to Thailand and that they have the correct funds for their stay in Australia.
