As with all long stay visas there is a financial criteria and what you are mainly doing is proving that you can reside in the Kingdom for a period of one year and listed below is how you can show the financial.

You can deposit 800,000 Thai baht in a THAI bank account and for the first visa application the money must be in the bank for a period of 2 months before you can apply for your visa, please note on your renewal of the visa the money must have been in the bank 3 months before you renew.

Or you can show an income of 65,000 Thai baht or more every month, you must bring bank statements of income information to Thailand with you to prove your income, when you have your information unfortunately the Immigration cannot or will not accept the information you will bring to Thailand so you have to go to your nearest consulate or Embassy and they will give you a letter which confirms your monthly income and duly stamped by the Embassy and this will be accepted by the Immigration.

Or if your income is smaller than 65,000 Thai baht per month then you can mix and match i.e. you can times your monthly income by 12 months and then lets say for example your income is 600,000 Thai baht for the year then you can deposit 200,000 Thai baht in your Thai bank account to make the 800,000 Thai baht for the year.

So the above ways are either, Or, you don’t have to have the money and the income you just have to make sure you have the 800,000 Thai baht for the year.
