My Thai girlfriend has a 3 month Australian tourist visa, and is staying with me at the moment.

I don’t want her to go back to thailand, and would like to apply for a marriage visa now before her visa expires so she can stay here with me. We want a Marriage visa as we would love to marry in Australia.

I am sorry to inform you that your Thai girlfriend has no choice but to return to Thailand. There is no visa or extension that will allow her to stay.

If she was to over stay the visa, this will have a negative impact on any future visa applications.

No matter what visa you require next for your Thai girlfriend, the application has to be made in Thailand.
