Just a couple of questions please about getting married to my Thai girlfriend.
Is it possible for me to move and set up a business in Thailand and do I need to marry a Thai lady to do this? If I marry a Thai lady (thipsuda) in Thailand would it be easier to get a marriage visa?

You do not need to be married to a Thai national to set up a business here. You will need to set up a Thai company and then get the correct visa to work within the business.
You cannot get a marriage visa unless you are married, however getting married will not make it easier to get a visa. Do not get married for the reasons of a visa or a work permit.

Many thanks for your help and advice. I will not be getting married just so Thipsuda will get a visa in fact i am making sure it is what i want first of all. I appreciate most Thai ladies will marry almost anyone in order to get to Europe so it is important that Thipsuda does like me for the right reasons. So slowly slowly I will do it.

This is a big misunderstanding that many men from the UK believe, that Thai ladies will marry any man to get to Europe.
Many of the Thai ladies do not have any intention of moving or living in any place other than Thailand. Of course relationships between Thai women and British men offer different safety nets to each party, with the Thai wife hoping to benefit from a more secure future, with money for food, entertainment and shelter on hand at all times.
Take your time while making plans in Thailand, and if you leave England, do not burn your bridges and keep all doors open.
