How do I get a proof of income letter from the British Embassy?

This is one of our most common services because it saves our clients having to travel to Bangkok to obtain a regular income letter for their long stay visa in Thailand e.g retirement visa. We are the only company in Pattaya currently operating this service as we started it due to the closure of the British Consulate in Jomtien, Pattaya. Being the visa advisers for the Pattaya Expats club we felt a need to help the British Expats who did not wish to travel to Bangkok just to obtain a letter when we could do it for them which the British Consulate in Bangkok agreed which has worked wonderfully well for over 2 years now will no hiccups and may we say the staff at the British Embassy are very helpful and a credit to their jobs. Income letters for British Citizens can be applied for via the postal service but most clients like to use our service because they know when it will arrive and that the documents presented are correct.

Our service is fairly simple we travel to the British Embassy in Bangkok every Tuesday morning and bring the income letters back to Pattaya on a Friday we can also do a postal service with clients e-mailing their documents and then we post them to their home town if they are not Pattaya residents and once we have collected via EMS post for an extra 100 baht just for postage and packing.

Your visa is the most important thing in Thailand so get it right first time!!!

So in easy terms our costs are we charge 500 Thai baht on top of the current Embassy fee for the letter and if you require postage it is 600 Thai baht.

  • You must have the information to us by the evening of every Monday including a copy of the face page of your passport and your British income information which can include 3 months bank statements, rental statements, yearly interest on investments, P60’s from pension companies or pension statements etc you can always call to check 038 422131
  • We then take your information to the British Embassy and submit on the Tuesday morning.
  • We collect for you on a Friday morning and when the letter is back in our office sometime on the Friday we send a message via a text to inform you the letter is ready for collection or we will post to you.

The days sometimes change which is rare but we have to move the days if their is public holidays in between but we always inform the client.
