I met my girlfriend in a Thai restaurant located in the UK
By keyinfo | December 30, 2010
I met my girlfriend in a Thai restaurant located in the UK in November 2010. The Thai restaurant owner is a Thai lady that is married to a British man; the Thai lady was the sponsor for the UK Tourist Visa. My Thai girlfriend’s visa runs out in January 2011 and I believe she cannot renew her visa here in the UK and will need to return to Thailand, is that correct? Also I want to help get my girlfriend back to the UK as soon as possible.

Thank you for contacting me. Before I continue, I would like you to understand that I 100 percent believe you, but I do not believe what you have been told.
It is extremely unlikely that a Thai national living in the UK running a Thai restaurant would be able to sponsor another Thai national to visit the UK for a holiday. The immigration department would look at the application and come to the conclusion that the real reason for the application is not to visit the UK as a tourist, but to work in the Thai restaurant.
Without having any more information about your new Thai girlfriend, I would guess that she has had a British man that believed he was in a relationship with her, be the sponsor. However when she arrived in England her true intention came to light and he was dropped.
I would suggest that you do not apply for a visa for at least 9 months on her return to the UK. No matter what, a fresh UK tourist visa application cannot be made until 6 months after her return. But as you are not the same sponsor, the UK immigration department could likely refuse her on the grounds that she has had two different sponsors in a short period of time and there for is misusing the UK visa.
It will be important that you can show a long (LONG) relationship prior to making the next application
