Getting married to your Thai girlfriend will not make it any easier to get a visa. We have met many very unhappy men that have been married for more than 1 year and can still not get a Tourist or Settlement visa for their Thai wife.
Each embassy has a set of guidelines that you must adhear to. There is never a quick answer. The best way to get a visa is to build the correct evidence and collate all the information the embassy needs. You will then get a visa every time.
Many people find that they can get a visa, but not for 4 – 6 months. Some try to find loop holes in the system. I can tell you there is not. Getting a visa is straight forward, give the embassy what it needs and a visa will be granted.
